The product preview panel displays an expanded view of the selected product alongside the results list. It typically shows a larger product image, full title, price, SKU, and description.
This panel gives customers more context without leaving the search dropdown. It is especially useful for stores with visually distinct products where the thumbnail alone is not enough to identify the item.
The panel appears inside the results dropdown container. On narrow screens or in sidebar placements, there may not be enough horizontal space for both the results list and the preview panel. In those cases, consider turning the Show Product Preview toggle to an OFF position.
The preview panel does not appear
Confirm Show Product Preview is toggled to ON and that you clicked Save Settings. The panel only appears when a customer hovers over or selects a product in the results list.
The preview panel is cut off on small screens
The preview panel may not fit on narrow screens or in sidebar placements. Reduce Max Form Width in Basic Settings, or use the Icon on mobile layout option to open search in a full off-canvas panel. See How to Optimize Search for Mobile.
