How to Add an Instagram Feed to Elementor

To add an Instagram feed to Elementor, copy your feed’s custom shortcode from the plugin’s dashboard. Open your target page in the Elementor Editor, search for the Shortcode widget in the left sidebar panel, drag it onto your page canvas, and paste your code into the text area. Once saved, your responsive social grid or carousel will render dynamically on the live page.

Step 1: Copy Your Instagram Feed Shortcode

Navigate to Elevated › Instagram Feed in your WordPress admin sidebar. Under the My Feeds tab at the top of the interface, locate the specific Instagram feed you want to display and click the Copy shortcode button to save the code to your clipboard.

Step 2: Open Your Page in Elementor Editor

Go to Pages inside your dashboard, locate the target page where you want to embed the Instagram gallery, and click Edit with Elementor to load the builder workspace.

Step 3: Add Instagram Feed Shortcode Widget to Your Canvas

Once the Elementor workspace editor loads:

  1. Look for the Elementor widget panel on the left side of your screen.
  2. Type Shortcode in the block search box at the top of the panel.
  3. Select the Shortcode widget from the search results.
  4. Drag and drop the widget into your preferred section, row, or column container on your page canvas.

Step 4: Paste and Apply the Instagram Feed Shortcode

Configure your shortcode inside the Elementor sidebar panel:

  1. Ensure the Shortcode widget you just dropped is active on the canvas.
  2. In the left-hand Elementor settings panel, select the Content tab.
  3. Look for the Enter your shortcode text area.
  4. Paste your copied shortcode [elevated_instagram_feed id=”X”] directly into this field.
  5. Click the Update or Publish button at the top of the interface to save your changes.

Troubleshooting Elementor Feed Display Issues

The widget displays the raw shortcode text instead of the feed images

This can occasionally occur inside the active Elementor canvas if the builder’s local JavaScript rendering processes are delayed. To verify if this is an editor-only rendering issue, click the Update button, open a new browser tab, and view the live public page on the front end of your site. If the feed loads correctly on the public site, you can ignore the plain text display inside the editor.

The feed layout does not span full-width inside the Elementor section

If the feed does not stretch to fill the Elementor row boundaries, check your Elementor section settings. Select the parent section on your Elementor canvas, go to Layout, set Content Width to Full Width, and set Columns Gap to No Gap. Additionally, ensure that your feed container Width in Step 5 (Layout) is configured to auto rather than a static pixel value.

The feed displays outdated photos or incorrect templates

If your visual changes do not display on the live page, the local server cache is likely out of sync. To resolve this, navigate to the Settings tab at the top of your plugin admin dashboard and click the red Clear Cache button under the Clear Cached Media configuration setting. This clears your local media files and forces your Elementor page to render the updated cache.
