To add an Instagram feed to Breakdance, copy your feed’s custom shortcode, open the page in the Breakdance editor, search for the Shortcode element in the left-hand panel, drag it onto your page canvas, and paste your code into the settings field. Once saved, your responsive social grid or carousel will render dynamically on the live page.
Navigate to Elevated › Instagram Feed in your WordPress admin sidebar. Under the My Feeds tab at the top of the interface, locate the specific Instagram feed you want to display and click the Copy shortcode button to save the code to your clipboard.

Go to Pages inside your dashboard, locate the target page where you want to embed the social media stream, and click Edit in Breakdance to launch the editor workspace.

Once the Breakdance workspace editor loads:

Configure your shortcode inside the Breakdance settings sidebar panel:

The shortcode displays as plain text inside the Breakdance builder
This can occasionally occur inside the active Breakdance canvas if the builder’s local JavaScript rendering processes are delayed. To verify if this is an editor-only rendering issue, click the yellow Save button in the top-right corner, and then click View Front-end to verify the feed is rendering properly on the public page. If the feed loads correctly on the public page, you can ignore the plain text display inside the staging editor.
The feed layout does not stretch to full-width inside the Breakdance Section
If the feed does not stretch to fill the Breakdance row boundaries, check your parent Section settings in Breakdance. Select the parent section on your Breakdance canvas, go to the settings panel, and adjust the container width properties. Additionally, ensure that your feed container Width in Step 5 (Layout) is configured to auto rather than a static pixel value.
The feed displays outdated photos or incorrect templates
If your visual changes do not display on the live page, the local server cache is likely out of sync. To resolve this, navigate to the Settings tab at the top of your plugin admin dashboard and click the red Clear Cache button under the Clear Cached Media configuration setting. This clears your local media files and forces your Breakdance page to render the updated cache.
